CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Wyoming Judicial Branch (WJB) has suspended online livestreaming of proceedings in trial courts across the state until further notice.
The livestreams impacted include district courts, circuit courts and the chancery court.
The suspension follows the discovery of a technical malfunction that caused unintended streaming issues. An internal review identified equipment failure as the cause. The WJB is conducting a comprehensive evaluation of its livestreaming technology to determine the path forward while ensuring public transparency and public access to the judiciary. The WJB will be addressing technology modernization needs in its budget request to the Wyoming Legislature.
The public is welcome to attend court proceedings in person. Requests for livestream access to a specific proceeding may be granted by the trial court judge; requests should be directed to that court. Court locations, schedules, and contact information can be found on the WJB website.
Supreme Court livestreams remain active and unaffected.
